The story of a photographer
First and foremost, I am a child of God that is blessed to be called wife, mother and photographer. I went to college for my Middle Childhood Teaching degree but put that on hold as I pursue my role as a mother and photographer.
My Story
Many people have asked, “How do you have the time to run a business alongside all you have to do?” The short answer is – by God’s grace alone. At one point in my life, I had attempted to do all of this in my own strength and it destroyed my joy. I started my adventure into photography over 10 years ago and I learned through trail and error. My path to becoming a photographer was not easy and actually led to my awareness of my need for my perfect savior, Jesus Christ. Through my journey of overcoming perfection and the balance of work and family - I have learned what is truly important.
My Passion
I am grateful God has allowed me to explore the joy of photography. I love capturing the beauty of life in the moment we are in. Not every season of our lives may be what we expect but it's our story which makes it beautiful. I do not strive for perfection but instead I strive to capture the beauty of the moment in time which can never be regained. My style is a contrast of bold colors alongside the vibrant glow of light. Combine the contrast of light and dark with a rich edit and I believe that is what brings an ordinary photo to life.
NOTE: To keep myself on track, I have limited the amount of sessions I take on each month to 4 per month. I truly wish I could take on every single session but I know it isn't what is best. By limiting the sessions I do take on it allows me to give my best in all aspects of my life and to my clients. I appreciate each and every one of you who has supported me over the years. I treasure the moments I have been able to capture.
Thank you!
